Weekend Wanderlust: Take Me Back to the Riviera Maya

Weekend Wanderlust: Take Me Back to the Riviera Maya

One of my favourite ways to procrastinate when I should be studying is to look back at my travel pictures. This weekend, I’ve been escaping back to the stunning Riviera Maya. Prepare to book your flights after looking at these pictures – I know I’m sure thinking about it! The Riviera Maya is by far one of the most beautiful and most loved destinations in Mexico. With stunning beaches, Mayan ruins, enchanting cenotes and more, you’ve gotta add the area to your Mexico bucket list. Enjoy!

Sky Magic at Playa del Carmen

Staying at the Mahekal Beach Resort meant that all of those stunning Caribbean sunrises were right outside my door. When you’re staying somewhere like this, you’ve gotta wake up early to catch that sky magic!

Iguanas & Blue Waters at Tulum

The Tulum Ruins are one of the most popular places to visit in the Riviera Maya. Perched right on the coast, they are absolutely wonderful to explore – with visits from the local iguanas!

Cenotes Hidden in the Jungle

Visiting Cenote Azul was perhaps my favourite part of exploring the Riviera Maya. A short walk on a jungle path takes you to the crystal-clear open air cenote.
